WHEN A SYMBOL MEETS A LEGEND

The design of this model was inspired by whale sharks that can be found in plankton-rich, temperate seas near the equator. The dial and bezel feature a beautiful deep blue color evoking the endless blue of the ocean, and the pattern on the dial is inspired by the unique spot patterns on each whale shark's back.

The case design echoes the iconic 1982 Professional Diver. The lug less case silhouette, the four bezel guards, and the large indentations on the rotating bezel give the watch a bold, distinctive look.

It also features a sandblasted finish to recreate the distinctive rugged look of the original model.

Save the BEYOND

SYMBOL OF THE SEAS

The pandemic lockdown had a major impact on the natural world. Wild animals reappearing in town centres and coastal waters, Clean waters and clear skies are the scenes that made us reflect on the problems facing the environment and the creatures living in it. Whale sharks are the world's largest fish, but, like the sea itself, we know very little about them. What we do know is that these emblematic creatures are now in danger.

We meet the scientists and adventurers researching whale sharks in an effort to protect them and their marine habitats. They explain the practical actions we all can take to help save these extraordinary animals and the seas where they live.

About Save the BEYOND

Now the natural world is under threat. Wild and beautiful places are disappearing fast. Here meet the behind-the-scenes heroes passionate about protecting the planet and securing a sustainable future. What drives them to "save the beyond"? PROMASTER has been the professional sports watch for adventurers and explorers around the world since 1989. We are using Save the Beyond campaign as an opportunity to reflect on how we can support this community in the years ahead.

Launched in 2019, 'Save the BEYOND' is the global campaign of PROMASTER. Working in partnership with HISTORY, we have produced a series of short documentaries that examine the actions that marine scientists, polar adventurers, activists and earth ecologists are taking in the face of the crisis engulfing the natural world. We believe that learning how these 'eco-heroes' view the ongoing environmental destruction, what they are doing to stop it and how they are broadcasting their messages can help transform the challenges of the present into the possibility of a better future for us and for our planet.
